D365 Technical Architect
Our client is seeking a permanent D365 Technical Architect to take ownership of the architectural design, integration, and ongoing optimization of their Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment. This role was created to bring critical platform architecture work in-house, ensuring long-term stability and strategic alignment as the organization scales its ERP ecosystem. The successful candidate will serve as the senior technical authority on D365, guiding integrations with third-party platforms and driving architectural best practices across the business.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, ensuring scalability, stability, and alignment with business objectives
- Design, develop, and oversee integrations between D365 and external systems and platforms, including e-commerce and financial tooling
- Evaluate and optimize existing D365 module configurations, identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce technical debt
- Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and governance practices for the D365 environment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, serving as the subject-matter expert on D365 architecture across the organization
- Support the ongoing rollout and expansion of D365 modules as the platform continues to mature
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a D365 Technical Architect or senior D365 technical lead with deep expertise across core Dynamics 365 modules
- Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver complex integrations between D365 and third-party platforms using standard integration patterns and middleware
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and their role in supporting D365 environments
- Experience working within or alongside ERP implementation projects at various stages of maturity, including post-go-live optimization
- Ability to operate independently and provide architectural direction without reliance on external consultants or contractors
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership
- Prior experience in a permanent, in-house architecture role is preferred over purely consulting backgrounds
