D365 Finance & Operations Business Applications Specialist
Our client is seeking a functional D365 Finance & Operations specialist to join an established internal applications team in Tennessee. In this permanent role, you will support, optimize, and continuously improve a live D365 F&O environment, working across both functional and select technical responsibilities. This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of a mature ERP platform and contribute to ongoing post-go-live improvement and standardization efforts.
What you'll do
- Support and continuously improve the organization's D365 F&O environment, including troubleshooting, configuration, and functional analysis
- Lead and participate in post-go-live optimization initiatives, with a focus on reducing customizations and moving toward standard out-of-the-box D365 functionality
- Serve as a functional subject-matter expert across relevant modules, including operations, trade promotions/trade management, and accounts receivable
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate needs into D365 solutions
- Partner with external implementation partners and vendors to coordinate enhancements and issue resolution
- Explore and contribute to early-stage AI adoption efforts within the application environment
- Write or review SQL queries in support of reporting, data validation, and system analysis as needed
What we're looking for
- Solid functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
- Demonstrated knowledge of at least one or more of the following functional areas: operations, trade promotions/trade management, or accounts receivable
- Experience in or strong familiarity with manufacturing or a comparable process manufacturing environment
- A technical mindset with some exposure to SQL; deeper SQL skills are a plus but not required, as development in this area is supported
- Ability to work across both functional and technical responsibilities within a lean internal team
- Comfort working in a customized D365 environment with a strategic goal of simplification and standardization
- Interest in emerging technologies, including the application of AI tools within an enterprise ERP context
