Xero Implementation Consultant
WorQFlow Solutions is seeking an experienced Xero Consultant for a fully remote contract engagement. In this role, you will lead an out-of-the-box implementation of Xero for our client, guiding the organization through setup, configuration, and go-live. This is an opportunity to apply deep Xero platform knowledge in a focused, end-to-end implementation context.
What you'll do
- Lead the end-to-end out-of-the-box implementation of Xero, including initial setup and configuration
- Assess the client organization's accounting and operational workflows to align Xero's native functionality with business requirements
- Configure chart of accounts, tax settings, bank feeds, invoicing, and other core Xero modules
- Conduct data migration activities, including import of opening balances and historical records as needed
- Deliver end-user training and documentation to support adoption and self-sufficiency post go-live
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide guidance on Xero best practices throughout the engagement
- Coordinate with stakeholders to validate deliverables and ensure a smooth transition to the live environment
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing Xero in a consulting or client-facing capacity
- Strong understanding of Xero's out-of-the-box features and native configuration options, without heavy customization or third-party development
- Solid grounding in accounting principles and financial operations as they apply to Xero setup
- Experience with data migration and opening-balance imports within Xero
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage deliverables with minimal oversight
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical configuration decisions for non-technical stakeholders
- Xero certification or equivalent verified platform expertise is preferred
