Warehouse Control Coordinator

Our client is seeking a contract Warehouse Control Coordinator to serve as an on-site bridge between warehouse operations and IT following a major consolidation of multiple warehouse locations into a single facility. In this hands-on role, you will monitor order and inventory workflows within the warehouse management system, resolve processing exceptions in real time, and ensure all goods move through required operational checkpoints without disruption. You will work closely with a small shipping team and serve as the day-to-day operational resource so that IT support does not need to be present on the floor around the clock.

What you'll do

• Monitor active orders and inventory transactions within the warehouse management system, identifying and resolving exceptions, broken orders, or processing errors as they arise
• Serve as the primary operational liaison between the warehouse floor team and the IT department, escalating system-level issues appropriately
• Ensure all inventory and shipments successfully complete required processing steps before leaving the facility
• Support and guide a small team of domestic shippers, providing direction on order resolution and WorQFlow adherence
• Maintain clear documentation of recurring system issues and resolutions to support continuous improvement
• Assist with stabilization efforts during the post-go-live period, contributing to process consistency and team confidence

What we're looking for

• Prior experience working in a warehouse, inventory, or shipping environment, with a solid understanding of day-to-day warehouse operations
• Familiarity with how a warehouse management system (WMS) functions; hands-on WMS expertise is not required, but comfort navigating and troubleshooting within such a system is essential
• Strong IT aptitude with the ability to sit down at a workstation, diagnose an order or WorQFlow problem, and implement a practical fix
• Experience in a shipping team lead, inventory coordinator, or similar operational role with light supervisory or guidance responsibilities
• Ability to work effectively with a small, blue-collar floor team and communicate across both operational and technical audiences
• Self-directed and composed in a fast-paced, post-implementation environment where priorities can shift quickly
