Senior Oracle Fusion Financial Planning Consultant
Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Financial Planning Consultant on a contract basis to provide senior-level financial planning, forecasting, and cost management expertise across a portfolio of renewable energy operating assets. The consultant will serve as a strategic advisor to Finance, Operations, and IT leadership, helping to optimize financial processes, budgeting models, and management reporting. This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements in financial visibility, standardization, and decision support across a large and complex operating portfolio.
What you'll do
- Advise Finance, Operations, and IT leadership on financial planning processes, operating budgets, forecasting models, and cost structures for a portfolio of renewable energy assets
- Lead efforts to assess current-state financial planning processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and standardization
- Translate business and finance requirements into effective Oracle Fusion solutions spanning ERP, PPM, EPBCS, and Supply Planning modules
- Develop and refine budgeting hierarchies, forecasting models, and variance analysis frameworks appropriate to operating plant environments
- Provide subject-matter expertise across both business process and technology, bridging the gap between finance stakeholders and technical teams
- Design and deliver improved management reporting to enhance decision support across the operating portfolio
- Support the rationalization and optimization of existing Oracle Fusion configurations to better align with operational planning needs
What we're looking for
- Deep experience in financial planning, forecasting, and cost management within renewable energy or comparable capital-intensive operating asset environments (e.g., wind, solar, transmission)
- Hands-on expertise with Oracle Fusion applications, including ERP, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS), and Supply Planning
- Demonstrated ability to assess and improve budgeting hierarchies, cost structures, and variance analysis processes in complex multi-asset portfolios
- Strong understanding of operating plant financial management, including budget-to-actual reporting and operational cost drivers
- Proven ability to translate business and finance requirements into practical Oracle Fusion configurations and solutions
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives and providing strategic advisory support to senior Finance and IT stakeholders
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment
