Project Manager – IT/OT Operations (Cybersecurity Focus)

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of IT and operational technology initiatives spanning infrastructure, cybersecurity, industrial control systems, and service management. This contract role sits at the intersection of enterprise IT and OT environments, requiring someone who can coordinate complex, cross-functional programs while ensuring secure, compliant, and operationally ready outcomes. The position plays a critical part in driving controlled transitions from project delivery into steady-state support across both corporate and field environments.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and OT projects encompassing infrastructure, cloud, networking, end-user computing, field connectivity, industrial control systems, SCADA, telemetry, cybersecurity, and service-management initiatives
• Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, dependency maps, milestone trackers, risk and issue logs, and executive-level status reporting
• Coordinate delivery across IT operations, OT engineering, field operations, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, architecture, vendors, managed service providers, and business stakeholders
• Manage OT-environment projects involving power-generation facilities, substations, control systems, plant networks, historians, and remote monitoring platforms
• Ensure all projects comply with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, safety regulations, change-management processes, procurement policies, and applicable NERC CIP and IT/OT security frameworks
• Govern operational readiness activities including support-model definition, system monitoring setup, documentation, training, knowledge transfer, asset and configuration records, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
• Plan and oversee implementations, maintenance windows, site deployments, outages, cutovers, rollback procedures, hypercare periods, and formal transitions into steady-state operations

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of project management experience delivering IT and/or OT infrastructure or cybersecurity initiatives in complex operational environments
• Demonstrated knowledge of OT environments such as industrial control systems, SCADA, substations, historians, or telemetry platforms
• Working knowledge of IT service management disciplines including incident, problem, change, configuration, and service-level management (ITIL familiarity preferred)
• Familiarity with NERC CIP standards or equivalent IT/OT cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks
• Proven ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups including engineering, field operations, cybersecurity, vendors, and senior leadership
• Experience managing third-party vendors, systems integrators, equipment suppliers, and managed service providers through the full project lifecycle
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred
