D365 Finance & Operations Assessment Consultant

WorQFlow Solutions is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Consultant for a contract engagement on behalf of our client. In this role, you will conduct a thorough assessment of the organization's current D365 F&O configuration, with emphasis on finance, accounting, reporting, and financial dimensions. Your primary deliverable will be a practical, phased improvement roadmap that identifies near-term wins and longer-term priorities — without requiring a full system re-implementation.

What you'll do

• Evaluate the current D365 F&O environment, focusing on finance and accounting module configuration, reporting structures, and financial dimension setup
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and misconfigured elements within the existing implementation
• Assess current financial reporting capabilities and recommend improvements to accuracy, timeliness, and usability
• Document opportunities to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual workarounds
• Develop a phased, prioritized roadmap of recommendations that distinguishes immediate improvements from longer-term initiatives
• Present findings and the proposed roadmap to finance leadership in a clear, actionable format

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated experience as an independent Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations consultant, with a strong focus on the Finance module
• Hands-on expertise with D365 F&O financial dimensions, chart of accounts design, and financial reporting tools
• Proven ability to conduct system assessments and produce structured improvement roadmaps
• Familiarity with accounting best practices and the ability to translate business requirements into system-level recommendations
• Experience working directly with finance leadership (CFO-level and accounting management) to communicate technical findings
• Ability to work independently in a remote, ad hoc engagement model with minimal oversight
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear documentation and presentations
