Data Manager – Microsoft Dynamics & Analytics
WorQFlow Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Manager on behalf of a growing organization that is investing heavily in data-driven operations and AI-enabled workflows. In this player-coach role, you will lead a small team of data engineers and report developers while remaining hands-on with the technical work yourself. You will own data pipelines that feed AI agents, drive scalable reporting outcomes, and serve as a key bridge between the data team and business stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Lead and provide day-to-day direction to a team of data engineers and report developers, ensuring work quality and alignment with business priorities.
- Serve as a hands-on contributor alongside the team, actively participating in technical work rather than delegating exclusively.
- Own and manage key data assets that feed AI agent workflows, ensuring data quality, governance, and reliability.
- Set and manage priorities across competing requests from multiple stakeholders, maintaining momentum on reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Stay closely engaged with end users to understand requirements and translate them into actionable data and reporting deliverables.
- Guide the team in ETL procedures, data engineering best practices, data reuse strategies, and dashboard design.
- Lead rapid prototyping and iterative testing of KPIs for pilot initiatives, incorporating stakeholder feedback into improved versions.
- Contribute to a customer-facing capacity, collaborating with business stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational goals.
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience managing data engineering and business intelligence teams in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.
- Strong background in ETL processes, data engineering, and dashboard design, with the ability to coach others in these disciplines.
- Experience working within or designing governance and security frameworks in a medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold or equivalent).
- Proficiency with Power BI, including both the data modeling and visualization layers.
- Proven ability to lead teams in rapidly prototyping KPIs, gathering feedback, and delivering iterative improvements.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and business process analysis.
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry is preferred.
- Background in consulting or client-facing roles is a plus, particularly where technical and stakeholder-management skills were combined.
